Administrator’s Greeting

Greetings from Father Jonathon Schmeckel

Welcome to Blessed Trinity Parish!

As your parish priest, I want to warmly welcome you to our parish. Blessed Trinity Parish is a great place for you and your family to grow in your friendship with Jesus Christ through the sacraments and the prayer!

I’m reluctant to write too much about me but allow me a few words to introduce myself.

My name is Father Jonathon Schmeckel. I was ordained a priest in May of 2019. Archbishop Listecki appointed me the Administrator of both Blessed Trinity Parish and Saint John Evangelist Parish (Kohler) in June 2022. As of this writing, I have been at our parishes for a little over a year. I still feel very new – and have lots of people to meet and things to learn (and mistakes to make up for!)

I was raised on a small dairy farm in Paris, Wisconsin (Kenosha County). I grew up involved in our family farm, my home parish, and 4-H. After high school, I attended Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, and graduated with degrees in Dairy Science and Agricultural Business. While I loved growing up on a farm and all that it entailed, the Lord was calling me to be His priest! After college, I went to Saint Francis de Sales Seminary where I studied philosophy and theology before my ordination in 2019. My first years as a priest, I was the associate pastor of three parishes in the Slinger area.

In my first year at our parishes, it has been a great blessing to get to know many of our families – and I look forward to meeting more of you as the years unfold. I hope that our communities become a home for you as you seek the Lord! I love being your parish priest!

Know of my daily prayers for you and your loved ones!

In the Heart of Jesus,

Father Jonathon A. Schmeckel
